Never before has it been so fantastic to be a movie buff. Back in the day the only way that you could even view a movie was to visit the theater. Later on, videos came out and you could get a video at the store but the film that you wanted may have been out-of-stock and you still had to wait. You also needed to make sure that you avoided any late fees by making sure that you got the movie back to the store on time. Now you can get the movies by mail, but it is still a waiting game.

Inferno - American returns to N.Y. from school in Rome to research the gruesome death of his sibling, and finds "sinister moms" causing paranormal anarchy on both sides of Atlantic. Surreal, spellbinding shocker by Italian terror maestro Argento doesn't make much sense, but it has a lot of style. Cast includes Leigh McCloskey, Irene Marvel, Sacha Pitoeff, Daria Nicolodi, Eleonora Giorgi, Veronica Lazar, and Alida Valli. (107 minutes,'84)

Clue - Silly and insipid mystery based on the popular board game of the same name with all the recognizable characters Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Miss Red, et al. assembled for a murderous day in a Victorian mansion. Everyone tries tremendously hard but there is nothing they can do to save this weak film. Cast includes Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Ponder, and Howard Hesseman. (87 minutes,'85)

The Night of the Iguana - Trudging premise based on Tennessee Williams play. Recovered alcoholic clergyman Burton, a bus-journey guide in Mexico, becomes involved with Kerr, Gardner, and Lyon. Dorothy Jeakins won an Oscar for her costumes. Cast includes Richard Burton, Deborah Kerr, Ava Gardner, Sue Lyon, Skip Ward, Grayson Chamber, and Cyril Delevanti. (118 minutes,'64)

Like Water for Chocolate - Striking and intense film from a book by Laura Esquivel set in the early part of the 20th century - a young woman's life is conditioned by her serious and uncompromising mom, who treats her terribly. Opulent story, not without humor, with an excellent cast and a top of the line performance from lead actress Cavazos. Cast includes Lumi Cavazos, Marco Leonardi, Regina Tome, Mario Ivan Martinez, and Ada Carrasco. (113 minutes,'92)

Cuba Crossing - Our lead man Stuart Whitman becomes involved in a plan to take out Fidel Castro. Filmed in Key West, Florida, and at minimum the landscape is pretty. Cast includes Stuart Whitman, Robert Vaughn, Caren Kaye, Raymond St. Jacques, Woody Strode, Sybil Danning, Albert Salmi, and Michael Gazzo. (90 minutes,'80)

The Indian in the Cupboard - A young man (Scardino) receives an ancient chest as a birthday present, and finds that when he sets a toy Indian inside and turns the key, the Indian comes to life. Then he sees that the Indian is not a toy, however a actual individual. Troubles follow, particularly while his best buddy summons to life a toy cowboy. Cast includes Hal Scardino, Lindsay Crouse, Richard Jenkins, Rishi Bhat, and Nestor Serrano. (96 minutes,'95)
