The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy: Arthur Dent is about to see his house get bulldozed down for a new road coming through. His best friend is unconcerned, and takes him to the pub for some beers. Then he shocks Arthur by telling him that he is an alien, and that the Earth will be destroyed in a few minutes, as a hyperspace bypass is being built. Arthur has a moment or two to decide to go with his friend, as they will hitchhike on a passing space freighter. He decides to go, and this starts an incredible adventure.
Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban: Mysteries and adventure abound in this Harry Potter film. It is Harry's third year at the Hogwart School of Magic. A prisoner has escaped Azkaban prison. It is Sinus Black, the man Harry thinks killed his parents. It won't be until the end of the school year before Harry learns the real truth about Sinus Black.
The Agony and the Ecstasy: Large spectacle of Michelangelo's creative clashes with Pope Julius II has satisfactory performing overshadowed by methodical production. Short documentary on performer's work antecedes fractional tirade based on tads of Irving Rock's novel. Cast includes Charlton Heston, Rex Harrison, Diane Cilento, Harry Andrews, and Adolfo Celio. The Man in the Glass Booth: American Film Theatre rendition of Robert Shaw's play in reference to a glib Jewish industrialist carried to trial for Nazi battle offenses. Schell is excellent, however overall consequence is contrived. Shaw had his name expelled from credits of film. Cast includes Maximilian Schell, Lois Nettleton, Luther Adler, Lawrence Pressman, Henry Brown, and Richard Rasof. (117 minutes, 1975)
It Takes 2: Surprisingly well-wrought comedy for babies in reference to look-alikes who trade places in request to help each other. The fabulously prosperous gal has a dad who's getting ready to wed a patently terrible lady, when the orphan is getting ready to lose her best buddy, the communal employee who watches the orphanage. The doubles give extremely likable performances, as do their adult costars. Cast includes Kirstie Alley, Steve Guttenberg, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Philip Bosco, Desmond Roberts, Ernie Grunwald, and Lawrence Dane. (101 minutes, 1995)
