Blind Faith: 2 brothers, one a patrol commander and the other a defense attorney, find their relation and their own sense of self esteem as black gentlemen in 1950s America turned upside down while the commander's child is implicated in a murderer. Tough and striking drama, which opens in the late '80s, concentrates on the racial separate and unfair due process system. Cast includes Courtney B. Vanee, Charles S. Dutton, Kadeem Hardison, Lonette McKee, and Garland Whitt. (107 minutes, 1998)

The Fox: Pleasantly created story of lesbians Dennis and Heywood, and what occurs while intruder Dullea arrives amid them. The movie was filmed in Canada. Cast includes Sandy Dennis, Keir Dullea, Anne Heywood, and Glyn Morris. (110 minutes, 1968)

Alias Nick Beal: Allegory of Devil (Milland) corrupting truthful congressmen Mitchell with the help of trollop Stumble. This is a fascinating drama with an unusually wicked Milland. (93 minutes, 1949) Cast includes Ray Milland, Audrey Stumble, Thomas Mitchell, George Macready, and Fred Clark.

The Little Shop of Horrors: Classic black comedy in reference to youthful schnook who creates bloodthirsty plant and is made to kill in request to fuel it with human blood. Originally notorious as the film was shot In 2 Nights, however now thought to be one of Corman's best films. Nicholson has comical tad as masochist who flourishes on dental suffering; Cast includes Jonathan Cloud, Jackie Joseph, Mel Welles, Dick Miller, Myrtle Vail, and Jack Nicholson. (70 minutes, 1960)

The Great Locomotion Chase: Real tale of Andrews' Raiders (filmed before by Buster Keaton as The General) comes to life in this vibrant Disney film. Parker is renowned Union detective who leads a rowdy band in seizing and "abducting" a Confederate railroad. Cast includes Fess Parker, Jeffrey Hunter, Jeff York, John Lupton, Eddie Firestone, and Kenneth Tobey. (55 minutes, 1956)

Hail Caesar: Horrible music-megastar wannabe (Chamber) is in love with an offensive debutante, whose dad is plotting to undermine an upcoming concert. Not a very good film. Cast includes Anthony Michael Chamber, Robert Downey, Jr., Frank Gorshin, Samuel L. Jackson, Judd Nelson, and Nicholas Pryor. (97 minutes, 1993)

On Golden Pond: Fonda, in his last film, is no less than radiant as crotchety retired professor Norman Thayer, Jr., furious at being 80 years old and frightened of losing his mind. Hepburn is fine as his committed, all knowing spouse who shares his summers at Maine lakefront home. Jane is his disassociated daughter. Cast includes Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda, Doug McKeon, Dabney Coleman, and William Lanteau. (1009minutes, 1981)

Bulletproof Heart: Fortunate hit guy LaPaglia gets a job he's not really cut out for. He he hired to take out an attractive woman who is in dept with the mob. 4 well-conditioned, well-played characters containing Boyle's gloomy mobster and Craven's dimwit companion-don't count quite make this a hit. Cast includes Anthony LaPaglia, Mimi Rogers, Peter Boyle, Matt Craven, and Joseph Maher. (100 minutes, 1994)

Sawdust and Tinsel: Kindles soar in this gorgeous, metaphorical film set in a small-time carnival and concentrating on the relation between carnival owner Gronberg and his oversexed mistress (Andersson). Cast includes Harriet Andersson, Ake Gronberg, Anders Ek, Gudrun Brost, Hasse Ekman, and Annika Tretow. (92 minutes, 1953)
